The English countertenor Andrew Watts was born in London, the son of a professional footballer. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music with the counter-tenor Geoffrey Mitchell. While other countertenors are wedded to baroque repertoire, he has sung a considerable amount of contemporary work with many major composers writing specifically for his voice.

Students of the renowned singing teacher Jessica Cash have included Emma Kirkby, Evelyn Tubb and Lesley Garrett. She applies the methods of kinesiology in her teaching to release the tensions in the body and free the voice.

Dame Emma Kirkby is an English soprano and one of the world’s most renowned early music specialists. She has sung on over 100 recordings.

Della Jones is a Welsh mezzo-soprano, well known for her interpretations of works by Handel, Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti and Britten.
